We have had a busy spring with several newcomers
adding to our animal family.
In addition to numerous small birds with various problems, we have two collared doves learning to fly who will shortly be released. A blackbird with a badly broken wing will sadly not be able to go back to the wild, but he is doing well and adapting to his new enviroment. All wild creatures having a quality of life will live out that life with us if there is no alternative, and the biggest sign of a quality of life in wild creatures is if they thrive - unhappy animals do not thrive.Below is a picture of a leveret litter that was brought in requiring hand-rearing, and our latest arrival, Ruby the fox club on the right there. Ruby was found beside a road at 5 weeks old, apparently abandoned by her mother. Her future will depend on how tame she remains, but we hope she may eventually become part of an education programe promoting our wonderful native wildlife.  Also pictured is our young goats Jake and William on their 1st birthday.
We also operate an animal sponsor / adoption scheme, CLICK HERE for more details.
